The automatic charging plant ЗСУ-3 is designed for automatic charging with stabilized current of the nickel-cadmium and nickel-metal-hydride storage batteries used in the mining cap lamps including those equipped with the spark-protection units and methane warning devices.
    The plant ЗСУ-3 simultaneously charges up to 54 storage batteries and enables to accommodate the same number of self-rescuers.

• The charging plant ЗСУ-3 performs the following functions:
• Charging with stabilized current of the mining cap lamps and methane warning instruments;
• Discharging of the cap lamp storage battery to the voltage 3.0 V;
• Automatic switching from “discharge” mode to “charge” mode;
• The charging cycle (discharge-charge) not in excess of 15 hours;
• Prevention of overcharging;
• Automatic switching to “storage” mode (charging with small current);
• Maintenance of all modes in any extraordinary situations (e.g. disconnection of power supply);
• Monitoring of the faults and charge quality of storage batteries;
• Availability of storage battery automatic cycling mode;
• Storage battery restoration mode after overcharging;
• Indication of operating modes.
• Possibility of connection to computer.
